Mayweather vs. Canelo results live: Round 1

The mega-fight between Canelo Alvarez and Floyd Mayweather got underway in front of a huge, vocal crowd. Both men traded jabs early, Canelo circling on the outside while Floyd took a low stance and pushed forward. The expectation coming in was that Canelo would be the man pushing forward.

Mayweather got his lead right hand in early, his trademark punch. Canelo was stuck in chase mode a bit more than expected but Mayweather did have respect for Alvarez as the round went on.

Still, Mayweather won the round by being slightly more busy.
