The tight end stable is getting weaker on the waiver wire. New York Jets tight end Jace Amaro was a hot pickup last week, but now receiver Percy Harvin is going to eat away at his targets.
Fantasy football waiver wire: 5 tight ends to target for Week 8
Tight end is a lot deeper than usual, but there are still some decent bench guys available in fantasy leagues.

Fantasy owners also were probably stung by the Jimmy Graham putting up a goose egg, but they shouldn't be panicking and selling low. He's still going to be one of the top-three tight ends the rest of the way and even Julius Thomas had a letdown this week with just two points in a standard league.
To be clear, fantasy owners should have confidence in the following guys and should stick with them over the following potential pickups in no particular order: Julius Thomas, Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, Greg Olsen, Martellus Bennett, Delanie Walker, Antonio Gates, Larry Donnell, Vernon Davis, Dwayne Allen, Travis Kelce, Jordan Reed, Jason Witten, Jordan Cameron and Heath Miller.
Tight end is pretty deep this year and it might make sense to go two deep on your roster and play the matchups (assuming you don’t have a must-start stud).
Owen Daniels (owned in 49 percent of leagues): The Ravens are putting up some serious points in the past couple games and it led to a six-catch, 58-yard game from Daniels on Week 7. He's been targets six or more times in three of the last four games and has seen his snaps come up, as well.
It's pretty clear that quarterback Joe Flacco is going to throw it up a lot, so the targets will be there for Daniels. He'll get the banged-up Cincinnati Bengals defense, who just allowed an average of 32.0 points over the last two games. He should be a TE8-12 this week.
Charles Clay (owned in 40 percent of leagues): He's been quiet for much of the season, but he had his best game of the year in Week 7 with four catches for 58 yards and one score. Sure, he did get a great matchup against the Chicago Bears having major issues in coverage of tight ends, so this week could be a fluke.
Looking ahead, he gets the Jacksonville Jaguars, so that's nice and Clay could certainly be a nice guy to play if you're without Vernon Davis or Larry Donnell this week. He also gets a few other really nice matchups the rest of the way, too.
Jared Cook (owned in 33 percent of leagues): The fantasy world does not like Lance Kendricks, who has taken away multiple TDs away from Cook. Although, the targets have been there with the exception of his three-target game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. He did catch all three for 25 yards.
Cook was targeted 10.0 times per game in his three previous and just didn’t get on the same page. Quarterback Austin Davis is coming along nicely and is a big fan of short-yardage throws, so better things are ahead for Cook.
The Kansas City Chiefs are his next opponent, and it could be a positive outing for him. He's more of a stash, though.
Kyle Rudolph (owned in 31 percent of leagues): Fantasy owners can probably stash him as a low-upside TE2. The Vikings offense doesn't look great.
Gavin Escobar (owned in 1 percent of leagues): Escobar season has returned! Anyway, his two-TD game is a giant fluke, so he's not even a TE2.
