Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 5: Seahawks vs. Washington

After a bye week, the rested Seahawks get to take on the struggling Washington team.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

It's already a long week for Washington, not playing their Week 5 game until Monday night. The Seattle Seahawks, though, get an even longer one, coming off their Week 4 bye. The Seahawks are 2-1 and eyeing another playoff berth. Washington is 1-3 and just wondering where its next win will come from.

The Seahawks don't have many fantasy-relevant injury concerns. Tight end Zach Miller is out with an ankle injury, but he doesn't offer much for fantasy owners regardless. For Washington, quarterback Robert Griffin III is definitely out. The rest of the team's injury questions rest with the tight ends. Niles Paul, dealing with a concussion, has been cleared to play Monday night, while Jordan Reed sat out Saturday's practice and looks like he might miss another game.

The game will be played in Washington at 8:30 p.m. ET Monday night. Here’s a look at the fantasy players worth considering:

SEAHAWKS

Start 'em: He hasn't blown fantasy owners away yet, but Russell Wilson is still firmly a QB1 and against Washington, he's even more solid. ... There's no way you can go away from Marshawn Lynch right now, as strong as he's been. ... Steven Hauschka hasn't had great games kicking so far, but the team is strong enough that he'll be fine. ... The Seahawks' defense is still the league's top unit, even if they haven't played quite like one yet.

Start 'em?: At the start of the season, the advice on Percy Harvin was to always use him as long as he's healthy, because he'll produce, but that hasn't been the case so far. He's down to a flex play, though a strong one.

Sit 'em: The second tier of Seahawks receivers -- Doug Baldwin and Ricardo Lockette -- aren't fantasy-relevant just yet, despite Lockette having two nine-point fantasy games. ... Luke Willson will be the team's tight end Monday night, but you can't use him unless you're waiting on a Washington tight end and the news gets worse.

Start in every league: Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Steven Hauschka, Defense/special teams

Start if you’re desperate: Percy Harvin

Bench: Doug Baldwin, Ricardo Lockette, Luke Willson

WASHINGTON

Start 'em: At this point, Alfred Morris is really the only Washington weapon you can trust on a week-to-week basis, even against Seattle. His stock drops because of the matchup, but he's still an RB2.

Start 'em?: After both had a strong Week 3, much was expected out of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson in Week 4, and they really disappointed. With the quarterback struggles and the strong opponent, they're low-end flex plays at best. ... If Niles Paul plays and Jordan Reed doesn't, he could be productive -- Seattle struggles against tight ends -- but there's also the chance he ends up a late scratch.

Sit 'em: I wouldn't advocate starting Kirk Cousins in even an opponent-neutral matchup; against Seattle, he's a stay-as-far-away-as-possible play. ... Andre Roberts has had a couple moments this season, but in general he's not helpful in fantasy. ... You can't possibly hold out hope for Reed at this point; wait another week at least. ... Kai Forbath isn't likely to get enough kicking opportunities to be helpful. ... Nope, not that Washington defense.

Start in every league: Alfred Morris

Start if you're desperate: Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson, Niles Paul

Bench: Kirk Cousins, Andre Roberts, Jordan Reed, Kai Forbath, Defense/special teams
