John GrieshopThis is what we learned from yet another Thursday night blowout:
This is not what the Bengals had in mind when they handed Dalton that fat new contract in the offseason (though remember, it’s not as fat as the advertised $115 million). He struggled badly with his accuracy, sailing throw after throw on the way to a 10-of-33, 86-yard, no-touchdown night. He tossed three interceptions (and had a fourth dropped) and his 30 percent completion rating was the lowest by a Bengals quarterback since 2000.

The signal caller was downright terrible, and couldn’t find any chemistry with his receivers downfield. His 1.96 quarterback rating for the night was the worst ever by a Bengals quarterback with 20 or more pass attempts.
The only factor in defense of such an abysmal performance were the conditions at Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bengals sold a whole bunch of Devon Still jerseys to help raise money for charity after the news that his 4-year-old daughter, Leah, was sick with cancer. On Thursday night, the team gave that money to representatives of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with Leah on the field -- tonight is the first time she’s watched her dad play live.
Fans in the crowd were all about Leah, too:

If you’re unfamiliar with 4-year-old Leah and her fight against cancer, here’s her story. The little girl is finally healthy enough to watch her dad play tonight, and hung out with Bengals cheerleaders before the game. The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital will receive a check for over $1.25 million at tonight’s game, much of which was raised through sales of Still’s jersey -- that sale is over, but if seeing how ridiculously adorable Leah is has reminded you how unfortunate pediatric cancer is, the link to donate is here.

Ron Schwane-USA TODAY SportsDivisional rivalries -- especially in-state ones -- tend to bring out the competitive side of each team. The Browns, even with a 1-2 record in the division, have looked their best against their AFC North foes. The Bengals are 2-0 against the division, with both wins coming over the Baltimore Ravens.
With a win, the Bengals can maintain their top spot in the division, but the Browns will also be looking to vault into the No. 1 spot. This will be the first of two meetings between the Ohio teams this season. Last year, they spilt their two games, with each team winning on its home field.
