France didn’t just have three skiers in the four-man final, but those skiers also took home all three medals.

The Men’s Ski Cross was dominated by the Frenchmen on Thursday. The final race was made up of three Frenchman and one Canadian, and the lone Canadian never stood a chance as the skiers’ invasion of Russia went better than Napoleon’s.

Jean Frederic Chapuis took home the gold medal while Arnauld Bovolenta took silver and Jonathan Midol the bronze. Brady Leman of Canada was the aforementioned fourth skier in the final.

Chapuis won his heat in the previous three elimination rounds and left no doubt as to his mastership of the course a year after winning the Freestyle World Ski Championships in Voss, Norway. He used to compete for Switzerland, since he holds dual French-Swiss nationality.

Midol attended Westminister College in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he competed for the Griffins’ ski team.

These three medals are the French team’s 12th, 13th, and 14th, which puts them in seventh place in the total medal count.

The lone American competitor in the Men’s Ski Cross was John Teller, who works as an auto mechanic in his home town of Mammoth Lakes, Calif. Teller came in 28th place out of 32 competitors.
