Mayweather vs. Maidana weigh-in results: Both men make weight for welterweight title showdown

Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana were both under the welterweight limit for their Showtime pay-per-view bout.

Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana were at the MGM Grand tonight to make it official for their welterweight championship bout tomorrow night on Showtime pay-per-view.

The undefeated Mayweather is a heavy favorite to retain his perfect record, but Maidana has massive one punch power and with that comes the ever present “puncher’s chance.”

Maidana hit the scales first and checked in at 146.5. Mayweather, looking ripped as usual, came in a half pound lighter at 146.

The featured undercard bout sees Amir Khan take on Luis Collazo in a bout that easily could put Khan into the next Mayweather mega-event. Khan, making his welterweight debut, looked in phenomenal shape as he came in a the 147 pound welterweight limit. The heavily tattooed Collazo came in the same, at 147 pounds.

We’ll have plenty more coverage in the coming hours and days, including live coverage and results tomorrow with the start of the pay-per-view broadcast at 9 p.m. ET.
