The 98th running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday afternoon will be the main attraction of the week at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but the days leading up to the race have plenty to be excited about.

On Friday, Carb Day will kick off a weekend of loud engines and full days under the sun. Friday at the Speedway starts at 8 a.m. when the gates open. From 8:30-10 a.m., the track will be the venue for a vintage car exhibition, letting fans get a close view.

At the Pagoda Plaza, Jim Nabors will be having a 9 a.m. meet-and-greet followed by a Q&A session an hour and a half later. On the track, the rubber hits the road at 11 a.m. for an hour-long practice before a half-hour warmup for the Indy Lights Freedom 100

At 12:30 p.m., the race begins with 40 laps before the winner is crowned. The festivities are still far from over, with the TAG Heuer Pit Stop challenge taking place at 1:30 p.m.

At 3:15 p.m., the Menards at the Brickyard Formula Off-road by Traxass practice takes place with the race starting 85 minutes later. Meanwhile, the Bud Light concert will be held on the infield at Turn 4, beginning at 3:30 p.m. and going for two hours.
