A look at what happened in the final round of the first half of the bout between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana.
Maidana continued to push forward in the sixth round, pressing Floyd into the ropes and trying to just continually mug the undefeated superstar.
Mayweather is having his moments though, landing uppercuts at times, getting in with some hard right hands, but he is not getting into any sort of rhythm, something that is basically never said about Mayweather. Late in the round, Mayweather started landing some heavy power shots, including a massive straight right hand. Mayweather then landed a left hook and a big right hand.
Mayweather likely took that round with the strong final minute, landing the better shots that will stick in the judges’ minds.
