Despite going 2-0 in Andrew Luck's absence, the Indianapolis Colts would love to get their starting quarterback into the huddle once again, and it appears he will be there in Week 6.
Andrew Luck practices fully on Monday, likely ready Week 6 for Colts, fantasy owners
The Colts could be getting their franchise quarterback back under center for Week 6. We break down the fantasy implications.
Luck practiced fully on Monday, after sitting out Week 4 and Week 5 due to a shoulder injury per USA Today's Jim Corbett. With two weeks of rest, Luck appears poised to make his return to the field when the Colts face the 5-0 New England Patriots in a "DeflateGate" rematch.
The Colts do not have to submit a practice report until Wednesday, but early signs are that Luck will make his return sooner than later.
Fantasy impact: It’s not like fantasy owners are excited for a tough matchup versus the Patriots, but Luck’s talent and weapons make him a threat to be fantasy’s No. 1 quarterback each week. With Tom Brady and the Patriots offense also playing at its peak, the Colts could be forced to play from behind and subsequently air it out.
This would be an ideal situation for Luck’s fantasy owners, but expectations should be somewhat tempered since he is coming off an injury. Despite that, his upside remains too high for him to be anything other than a QB1 as long as he takes the field.
