Whether it's hamstring injuries, quarterback controversies or all of the above, the wide receiver position has become one of the more shallow positions in fantasy football this season. Fantasy owners with Antonio Brown, Dez Bryant, DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery among others find themselves in a rut.
Fantasy football rankings, Week 6: Consensus wide receivers for standard leagues
The SB Nation fantasy staff rounds up the rankings for the top 50 wide receivers in standard leagues.
With the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all on bye weeks, the pool is even less deep than it usually is. With Odell Beckham and Julio Jones now uncertain for their games, the top of the ranks look bizarre in comparison with recent weeks, but justifiably so.
That said, the 2015 season is starting to take shape five weeks in. Names like Willie Snead and Allen Hurns are becoming mainstays in the fantasy football landscape, and fantasy owners have taken notice. Teams without the strongest drafts now have ways of climbing the standings because of these sleepers, and it will make for an interesting Week 6 at the very least.
