Fantasy football rankings 2015: Running backs for PPR leagues, Week 11

We might not be talking about how good Devonta Freeman’s season has been. Here are our fantasy football running back rankings for PPR leagues in Week 11.

If you took out all of the receiving game from Devonta Freeman's numbers this year, he'd have 126 fantasy points. The only running back who has more than that across all performance this year is Adrian Peterson.

Freeman's been a great running back, just as a guy who runs the ball. But he is also second among running backs in receiving yards, with two of his touchdowns coming through the air. Basically, Freeman-the-runner is almost the top running back in all of football in 2015, and he adds 54 more fantasy points through the air. His pass-catching has produced more points than Eddie Lacy has total on the season. Freeman-the-pass-catcher is tied with Isaiah Crowell, just as a person.

He leads the running-back position in receptions and targets. In fact, those numbers have only risen; Freeman has six or more receptions in four of his last five games after not reaching six in any of the season’s first four weeks.

In short, Freeman is miles ahead of the position’s field in standard scoring so far this year — and even further ahead in PPR scoring. If you drafted Freeman, you didn’t draft him as a starter. It was as a backup. Chances are good he was on your wire. If you have him, he wasn’t part of your strategy; he was just someone you ended up with. Congratulations, lucky bugger.

On to our Week 11 running back rankings for PPR leagues.
