The Baltimore Ravens have some bad luck this year. Their receiver corps was already demolished and now they are going to miss quarterback Joe Flacco and running back Justin Forsett for the rest of the year. That means basically the entire Ravens offense will be full of players who fantasy owners plucked off the waiver wire.
Fantasy football waiver wire: Injuries heading into Week 12
The Ravens are really, really banged up. We break down the fantasy implications.
There were also a lot of injuries to backs this week, so fantasy owners have a big opportunity to load up on help. Besides Flacco, there weren’t really any other noteworthy non-RB injuries this week.
Here are the other injuries of note heading into Week 11:
Injuries from Week 11
Quarterback
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
What: Torn ACL, out for season
Analysis: Matt Schaub will take over and guys like Kamar Aiken become less appealing while Crockett Gillmore gains value.
Running back
Justin Forsett, Baltimore Ravens
What: Broken arm, out for season
Analysis: Buck Allen needs to be owned everywhere.
Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks
What: Abdomen injury, seeing a specialist
Analysis: He could miss some games, which means you have to Thomas Rawls in all leagues until this picture clears up.
What: Hamstring strain
Analysis: He could be back for Week 12, but Spencer Ware is still a solid pickup just in case.
Ryan Mathews, Philadelphia Eagles
What: Concussion
Analysis: He had another concussion, so he's likely out for Thursday; DeMarco Murray will be busy.
Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons
What: Concussion
Analysis: He should be starting for Week 12; add Tevin Coleman as insurance.
What: Ankle injury, could be limited on Thursday
Analysis: James Starks should be owned everywhere even though Lacy could play.
Ka’Deem Carey, Chicago Bears
What: Concussion
Analysis: Matt Forte should be back, so Carey probably wouldn’t be used in Week 12 anyway.
Wide receiver
Michael Floyd, Arizona Cardinals
What: Hamstring strain
Analysis: He did not play with Week 11 and could miss Week 12; John Brown and J.J. Nelson have more value.
Tight end
Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles
What: Concussion
Analysis: He's likely out for Thursday; Brent Celek is in play for all leagues.
Jordan Reed, Washington
What: MCL sprain, day-to-day
Analysis: He should play in Week 12, but his owners will want to make sure he’s good to go.
