Watch this Australian PGA pro get a ridiculous bounce to ace a par-4

Hit your golf ball into that sand trap, get a hole-in-one.

The albatross is the rarest score in golf. A hole-in-one on a par-4 or a straight double-eagle on a par-5 almost always involve a little bit of luck. But this is the most fortunate redirection of a golf ball you’ll ever see.

Richard Green, playing in the pro-am at the Victorian Open, decided to rip a drive up towards the green when he saw a tee box was moved up on a reachable par-4. He just wanted to get in the vicinity of the putting surface, and that’s what he thought he’d done, leaving himself a nice bunker shot for an up-and-down birdie (via PGA of Australia).

“I thought I would hit a driver and see what happens, I just pushed it a little bit, it was a good shot, but I knew it was going in the bunker so I was completely oblivious to the fact that it had made its way to the hole somehow,” he said.
