Floyd Mayweather and Andre Berto both looked fit and ready on the scales today for tomorrow night’s Showtime pay-per-view main event from Las Vegas, where Mayweather will supposedly fight for the final time in his 19-year professional boxing career.
Mayweather vs. Berto weigh-in results: Fighters make weight, ready for Saturday
Floyd Mayweather and Andre Berto are good to go for tomorrow night’s pay-per-view main event.

Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO) tipped the scales at 146, a pound under the welterweight limit, while Berto (30-3, 23 KO) weighed in at a very lean and cut 145 pounds. Berto’s attempt to knock off the undisputed king of the sport is now being openly compared to Roberta Vinci’s stunning upset of Serena Williams at the U.S. Open.
Mayweather insists that he’s not overlooking Berto despite the odds being so heavily in his favor, and he also said he’s not letting any of the controversy generated by Thomas Hauser’s report get to him ahead of the fight, either.
“He’s another top guy. He has a high knockout ratio,” Mayweather said of Berto. “He’s a rugged guy, a solid fighter. But I’ve faced Pacquiao, I’ve faced Cotto, I’ve faced Canelo. I’ve already faced the top fighters.”
Undercard Weights
Rocky Martinez of Puerto Rico will defend the WBO super featherweight (130 lbs.) title against Orlando Salido of Mexico, in a rematch of their April 4 fight, in which Martinez beat Salido for the belt. The two veteran fighters both made weight, with Salido weighing in at 130 and Martinez at 129½. Martinez-Salido II will serve as the co-feature fight for the pay-per-view tomorrow night, going on just before the main event.
Badou Jack weighed in at 167½ pounds for his WBC super middleweight title defense against George Groves, who weighed in at 168. Jhonny Gonzalez and Jonathan Oquendo both weighed in at 129 pounds for their PPV opener. And Vanes Martirosyan came in at 154½ for his fight with Ishe Smith, who weighed in at 154.
