We’re closing in on the end of the first half of this fight, and thus far it’s been as expected: all Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather looking a hair more aggressive to start this round, and he’s whacking Berto to the body after Berto does land a decent counter left hand.

Crowd wakes up a bit as Mayweather shows some real life. His attack there looked kind of awkward, because it’s just not what he does. Strange, as Mayweather really never looks awkward in the ring. Everything is smooth and seems like he’s thinking well ahead of his opponent.
Mayweather jabbing to the body, walks himself to the ropes and ducks into a little left hand from Berto. Another clean potshot from Floyd, and he dances some more. Sweeping little hook smacks Berto in the side of the head, then Floyd ties him up and resets the action. Berto goes aggressive, lands nothing out of a three-punch combo. Mayweather, according to TV, has landed 22 of 32 punches this round. That’s precision accuracy. (It could also be nonsense, but that’s another story.)
