Week 2 can be a chaotic one. Week 2 is full of overreactions, both good and bad. It’s a week where fantasy owners either feel draft redemption or draft remorse. The reality is, Week 2 is about patience. It’s odd to think that just one week can test your patience, but it’s not just about one week. It’s about the weeks you spent believing in certain players. It’s about the mock drafts you simulated over and over to get what you felt was the optimal lineup. One week is over, and you’re looking for validation. Sometimes, you’re left with excuses.
Fantasy football rankings 2015: Defense/special teams, Week 2
We’re here to rank defenses for Week 2 of your fantasy football league. Here are our consensus Week 2 defense/special teams rankings.
Still, your fantasy defense shouldn’t be weighing on you too heavily. With defenses and special teams, there’s always next week. There are always better matchups. It’s time to adjust. And we’re here to help.
The Seattle Seahawks were our consensus No. 1 D/ST in Week 1. In most scoring formats, they were second place. This week, they've fallen out of the top five as they head to Green Bay to face a high-octane Packers offense. Still, they're worth starting in all formats as a top-10 option. The St. Louis Rams lead our list in Week 2. The Rams were still a top-10 defense in Week 1. They're facing Washington -- an offense that the Miami Dolphins were able to hold to 10 points while adding a sack and two interceptions -- on Sunday.
Moving down the list, there are few sleepers in Week 2. For instance, the New Orleans Saints are playing a Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense that was an absolute wreck in Week 1. The Saints are a shaky defense to start in most weeks, but if you're in real need of a D/ST option, you could do much worse.
