Fantasy football rankings 2015: Running backs for standard leagues, Week 2

One game can be scary, but one game is just one game. Don’t overreact to a small sample. We have Week 2 running back rankings for standard leagues.

As someone who ran the War Room fantasy advice chat Tuesday night, I understand that we're all panicking after Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season. Eli Manning terrified everyone. Adrian Peterson didn't look good. Andre Johnson might finally be old.

Some of the things we saw over the weekend are for real. But some aren’t. For proof, look no further than Manning’s Week 1 of 2014. He had only 163 passing yards and one touchdown against two interceptions. That was only six fantasy points, and it was miserable. Of course, Manning the rest of the year was one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

Eddie Lacy didn’t rush for more than 50 yards in a game last year until Week 5, but still finished with 13 touchdowns and 1,139 rushing yards, and was one of this year’s top draft picks. Dez Bryant’s worst game of 2014 was his first, with 55 yards. He was maybe the best receiver in the league after that.

It's one week. If you invested heavily in Adrian Peterson (despite my warnings), it was because you believed in him. If you're cutting bait now, you didn't believe much. Basically, any opinion you felt strongly about a week ago, you should still feel pretty strongly about. Maybe not as rock-solid, but if you're bailing now, you didn't form solid enough opinions.

I’ll let my buddy Chris summarize:

That’s all. Just don’t go crazy off of one week of games. On to our Week 2 running back rankings:
