Another huge loss at the quarterback position as Ben Roethlisberger was lost for the next four to six weeks. Hopefully it's on the lesser side but you never know. Michael Vick will fill in for the time being but his best days are definitely behind him. It will be interesting to see the changes that are made to the Steelers offense without Big Ben. I think Vick can be an average fantasy starter in most leagues and he's certainly a step above the current crop of backups filling in. Pittsburgh has weapons and if Vick can get used to the offense, his stock should rise.
Fantasy football rankings, Week 4: QB rankings
Another major quarterback injury is examined this week. A few quarterbacks are outperforming their preseason expectations and we look at whether this will continue in Week 4. We’ve got Week 4 quarterback fantasy football rankings.
Drew Brees may return this week but right now he's still considered day-to-day. The Saints offense could really use Brees under center. Luke McCown was pretty good against Carolina. He passed for 310 yards and an interception. Pay attention to the injury report as the week goes but we should know sooner than later if Brees is going to give it a go. New Orleans faces Dallas at home Sunday night, so if the decision is late it won't give you any chance to find a decent replacement. You'd probably have to choose between McCown and Weeden.
This is our first bye week of the 2015 season, which means we'll be without Tom Brady and Marcus Mariota. Both are off to a great start and are among the top ten at the position thus far. Tyrod Taylor and Derek Carr are my choices for a bye week replacement this week. Taylor has outperformed all expectations so far. He hasn't passed for 300 yards in a game yet but his 96 rushing yards certainly help his fantasy points. Taylor faces the Giants who've struggled against the pass. Carr has made the Raiders passing game a lot more interesting. He's passed for over 300 yards and at least two touchdowns in consecutive games, Oakland faces Chicago and their horrible pass defense. Carr has a great chance to continue his streak this week.
My sleeper this week is Andy Dalton. The Bengals passing game is flying right now and they get a sweet matchup against Kansas City this week. The Chiefs are surrendering a bunch of passing yards this season, as we saw on Monday night. Dalton should scorch them with passes to AJ Green, Marvin Jones and Tyler Eifert. Use him now before he cools off later in the season.
