Fantasy owners have had all offseason to get their lineups ready for Week 1, so of course, making the final decision will happen within one day of opening kickoff.
Fantasy football rankings 2015: Consensus wide receivers for standard leagues, Week 1
The SB Nation fantasy staff ranks the top 50 fantasy football wide receivers for Week 1 in the NFL.
This isn't to say fantasy owners are all procrastinators. Given the likely game-time decision statuses of premier wideouts like Alshon Jeffery -- along with having to wait for Mike Evans to take the practice field after sustaining a hamstring injury -- owners will be glued to their phones. As a result, the SB Nation fantasy staff was a little bearish on their rankings to open the season.
As for everyone else, Julio Jones and Dez Bryant top the charts for the first of what will likely be many times this season, and Jordan Matthews' second-year breakout is expected to happen immediately in 2015 as he starts off with our No. 9 ranking.
The staff is a little lower on guys like Steve Smith (No. 26) and Brandon Marshall (No. 30), who will draw tough matchups against two of the game's elite cornerbacks in Chris Harris, Jr. and Joe Haden, respectively.
