Day 1 of the 2016 Winter X Games from Aspen, Colo. is complete, and the highlight of the opening day of the competition was Tucker Hibbert continuing to dominate the Snowmobile SnoCross.
2016 Winter X Games results: Tucker Hibbert wins 9th straight gold medal


Hibbert won his ninth consecutive X Games SnoCross gold medal on Thursday, with a winning time of 16:05.739 in the final round. It is the 10th career gold medal in the event for Hibbert, who won his first way back in 2000.

Adam Renheim won the silver medal with a time of 16:16.443, and Corin Todd won the bronze at 16:20.037.
Special Olympics Dual Slalom
Henry Meece and Chris Klug defended their 2015 gold medal in this event, capturing the gold again on Thursday with a time of 36.0 seconds, narrowly defeating the team of Danny Davis and Zach Elder (36.8 seconds).
Hannah Tetter and Diana Shilts took home the bronze with a time of 38.0 seconds.
Snwmobile SnoCross Adaptive
Another longtime X Games champion, Mike Schultz, captured yet another gold medal in his signature event, his fifth career gold medal in SnoCross Adaptive and seventh career X Games medal overall. Schultz had a time of 4:32.944, well ahead of silver medalist Paul Thacker (5:26.438) and bronze winner E.J. Poplawski (5:30.674).
Men’s Ski Super Pipe
Kevin Rolland captured gold in Men’s Ski Super Pipe thanks to his third and final run, scoring 93.33 to take first place. Gus Kenworthy took silver with a score of 92.33 on his second run, and Benoit Valentin captured the bronze medal with a score of 90.66.
