Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 6: Philip Rivers a bad play vs. Broncos
Can Philip Rivers keep up another big fantasy season against Denver’s vaunted defense?

The San Diego Chargers are struggling, but Philip Rivers is still producing elite fantasy numbers.
Through five games, Rivers has thrown for 1,469 yards and 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He has produced the fourth-most fantasy points among quarterbacks this season.
Rivers will have a tough time keeping that up against a Denver Broncos defense among the NFL’s best at stopping the pass. That makes starting Rivers this week trickier than usual.
In two games vs. Denver last year, Rivers threw for just 430 yards and two scores with two interceptions and seven sacks taken. That will not cut it for your fantasy team if Rivers has similar numbers this time around.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Rivers as the 20th-best quarterback for Week 6. He is facing a Denver defense allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks.
Keep Rivers on the bench this week as long as you have a decent backup or can get one off of the waiver wire.
