Could a matchup with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday be the cure to the tight end’s touchdown woes?
Fantasy Impact: As he has already done this year, Witten should continue to get plenty of opportunities to make plays versus the Packers this week.
Green Bay is giving up the seventh most fantasy points to opposing tight ends in 2016. The position group is averaging five catches and 72 receiving yards per game against the Packers this season.
Green Bay has also given up a touchdown to an opposing tight end in two of its four games this year.
Yahoo! does not project Witten to score this weekend, but they do envision him finishing the day with four catches for 44 yards. Based on his targets so far in 2016, fantasy owners could gamble with Witten in their lineup this week knowing that the opportunities to score will likely be there.
