When New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to the field in Week 3 this season, some thought that fellow Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett would begin to see his role with the team diminish.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 6: Martellus Bennett starting to find his groove
New England’s tight end is coming off an excellent performance a week ago. We explore the fantasy implications.

So far, that has not been the case. With Gronkowski in the lineup the past two games, Bennett has caught 11 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns on 14 targets.
New England seems to be utilizing the talents of both of their tight ends in 2016 and that is a scary reality for the rest of the NFL.
Fantasy Impact: Bennett and the Patriots are facing the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. The Bengals’ defense has played pretty decent against opposing tight ends in 2016, but they have still allowed the position group to haul in three touchdowns in the past four weeks.
Gronkowski gained 100 receiving yards and caught a touchdown during his last game against Cincinnati in 2014, so the primary focus of their defense on Sunday will likely be to stop him. That means there should be plenty of opportunities for Bennett to make plays and put up some impressive numbers.
Yahoo! is only projecting the Patriots’ tight end to finish with five catches for 49 yards and no touchdowns on Sunday. But with quarterback Tom Brady back manning the ship for New England, Bennett will always have a good chance at finding the end zone this season.
Fantasy owners should have the tight end in their lineups this weekend, and if they do not, they better have a good excuse.
