Coming off a 2015 season where he threw for 29 touchdowns, Cousins has passed for only three touchdowns through three games this year. However, his fortunes could change for the better this Sunday when he faces off against a weak Cleveland Browns defense.
Fantasy Impact: In three games this season, the Browns’ defense is allowing opposing quarterbacks to throw for an average of 300 yards and two touchdowns. The only signal caller that has not thrown for over 300 yards against Cleveland this year was a rookie quarterback in Carson Wentz (278 yards) of the Philadelphia Eagles back in Week 1.
Cousins has thrown for over 300 yards in five of his last seven regular season games, and it does not seem too far fetched that he can accomplish that feat once again this Sunday versus the Browns.
Yahoo! ranks the Washington quarterback as the sixth best at his position for this week and has him finishing with 285 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception against Cleveland. If fantasy owners have any questions about their team’s current starting quarterback, this may be a good time to give Cousins a shot in their lineup.
