For the first time since Week 3 of the 2015 season, Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham scored six points for his team after catching a ball in the end zone last Sunday. Before this scoreless streak, Graham did not have a touchdown drought of more than two games since 2012.

In his second year with Seattle, the tight end is coming off a 2015 season that was cut short by a torn patellar tendon in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fantasy Impact: The Seahawks have been slowly working Graham backing into their offense this year and he impressed last week with six catches for 100 yards and one touchdown in a win over the San Francisco 49ers.
This Sunday, Seattle and its tight end will be facing off against the New York Jets. Against tight ends this season the Jets’ defense has done okay, but they are still allowing opposing tight ends to average around 12 yards per reception.
Last week, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce caught six passes for 89 yards and one touchdown against New York. Graham and Kelce are comparable in terms of size and skill, so a similar performance from the Seahawks’ tight end versus the Jets this weekend would not be too surprising for fantasy owners.
Based on the lack of fantasy production from the NFL’s tight ends so far in 2016, starting Graham this week should be a serious option for most of his owners.
