With Ben Roethlisberger out for at least one game after having knee surgery on Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will start Landry Jones at quarterback this week against the New England Patriots
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 7: No guarantees with Landry Jones
The Steelers’ backup quarterback will start this weekend against the Patriots. We explore the fantasy implications.

Jones started two games for the Steelers last season and did a decent job filling in for Roethlisberger. During his two starts in 2015, Jones threw for a total of 232 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
Fantasy Impact: Despite having a plethora of offensive weapons at his disposal, Jones is still a risk for any fantasy owners who are considering him for their lineups this week. When filling in last year, Jones did decent but it was nothing to rave about.
For his first start of 2016, he will have the tough task of trying to lead Pittsburgh over the mighty Patriots. New England has done pretty well against opposing quarterbacks this season (266.3 passing yards per game), but they have also allowed the position group to throw for at least one touchdown in five of their six games this year.
Yahoo! is projecting Jones to finish Sunday with 246 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. His projection, matchup, and past performances should be enough to lean most fantasy owners in the direction of not starting him this weekend.
