The hope for the Denver Broncos is that rooking running back Devontae Booker will eventually be able to take over as the starter in the team’s backfield. But for now, Booker is spending this season as the backup to fellow running back C.J. Anderson.

Denver’s rookie running back is starting to get more involved in the team’s offense. We explore the fantasy implications.

Even though he has yet to score his first-ever NFL touchdown, the Broncos’ rookie is doing well and averaging just over five yards per touch through six games in 2016.
Fantasy Impact: Earlier in the week, Denver head coach Gary Kubiak had said that he would like to get Booker more involved in their offense this season. Anderson has failed to finish with at least 50 rushing yards in his last four games, so it is understandable as to why Kubiak may want to give someone else a shot in the Broncos’ backfield.
Denver is facing a Houston Texans defense on Monday that has given up five rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs in their last four games. If Booker does end up getting more time on the field this week, he should have plenty of opportunities to make a play.
He may not be worth a starting spot for most fantasy owners this week, but he is definitely a player to keep an eye on for the next few weeks.
