Finishing with just two catches for 18 yards is not exactly what fantasy owners were hoping for when Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs returned to the field last week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Do not lose hope with Stefon Diggs just yet
The Vikings’ wide receiver gets a great matchup versus the Bears on Monday. We explore the fantasy implications.

Diggs is recovering from a groin injury that caused him to miss the Vikings’ Week 5 game versus the Houston Texans, but he was also facing a tough Eagles secondary. Philadelphia has only allowed one pass catcher to finish a game with 100 receiving yards or more this season and it was some guy named Antonio Brown.
Fantasy impact: On Monday night against the Chicago Bears, Diggs will have a great chance to rebound from a lackluster performance a week ago.
The Bears’ defense is giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers so far this year. The position group has caught at least one touchdown versus Chicago’s defense in five of the team’s seven games this season.
Despite his favorable matchup, Yahoo! only projects Diggs to catch four passes for 58 yards on Monday. Fantasy owners should strongly consider using the Minnesota receiver as a flex option this week.
However, if Diggs does not have a decent game against the Bears, it could be awhile before his name shows up in fantasy starting lineups again.
