The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that the team would be without running back Jamaal Charles this week due to issues with his knee, meaning Spencer Ware will be the team’s starting ball carrier once again on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: No reason not to start Spencer Ware this week
The Chiefs’ running back will start against a weak Colts run defense on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

Ware has performed exceptionally well in his first NFL season as a starting running back. In the last three weeks, the Kansas City running back has scored two touchdowns while averaging 130 total yards per game.
Fantasy Impact: In Week 8, Ware and the Chiefs will get to face a Colts defense that has allowed three different running backs to rush for at least 100 yards in the last three weeks. Kansas City’s young running back certainly has the abilities to become the fourth straight rusher to gain at least 100 yards against Indianapolis’ defense.
Yahoo! is not projecting Ware to run for over 100 yards, but they do see him finishing Sunday with 99 total yards and one touchdown on 18 touches. A definite must-start for any of his fantasy owners this weekend.
