At 37 years old, Smith is proving in 2016 that he can still be a legitimate factor for an offense in this league. Through four games he currently leads the Ravens in catches (24), receiving yards (281), and targets (36).
Fantasy Impact: In Week 5, Smith and the rest of his teammates will be welcoming Washington to their home stadium in Baltimore.
Washington comes into Sunday’s game giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this year. Wide receivers are catching 69 percent of their targets against Washington this season and Washington’s defense has allowed an opposing pass catcher to gain over 100 receiving yards in three of its four games in 2016.
Yahoo! projects Smith to finish with five catches for 65 yards on Sunday, but a trip or two to the end zone for Baltimore’s receiver would not be a crazy thought to have. Based on his production in 2016 so far and his matchup this weekend, fantasy owners should strongly consider including Smith in their starting lineups this Sunday.
