Oakland’s rookie running back has played well in 2016, despite a limited amount of snaps. Through four games this season, Washington is averaging 6.3 yards every time he touches the football.
Fantasy Impact: In what could be his first NFL start, Washington gets a pretty favorable matchup against the Chargers this weekend. San Diego is giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2016 and have already given up a total of eight touchdowns to the position group in just four games.
Even if Washington and fellow rookie running back Jalen Richard split the Raiders’ carries in Murray’s absence on Sunday, each should have a legitimate shot to have a productive day on the field. Washington should at least be considered to start in some fantasy owners’ lineups this weekend.
