Underneath all the current controversy and hoopla with New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. this season, is the play of one of the team’s other pass catchers. After missing almost a year and a half due to injuries, Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is back on the field and making plays once again.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 5: It may be time to dance for Victor Cruz
New York’s veteran receiver gets a favorable matchup versus the Packers on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

After four games, Cruz currently leads New York in average yards per catch (min. three receptions) and is third on the team in total receptions and total targets.
Fantasy Impact: This Sunday, the Giants’ veteran receiver will get a favorable matchup with a depleted Green Bay Packers secondary. The Packers defense is giving up the third most fantasy points to opposing receivers in 2016 and they have given up four touchdowns to the position group in their last two games.
Green Bay will likely have their defense mostly focus on stopping Beckham this week, which could free up some opportunities for Cruz to shine. Yahoo! projects the New York receiver to finish with just four catches for 47 yards against the Packers, but it would surprise no one if Cruz was seen doing the salsa dance in the end zone at some point this weekend.
Fantasy owners should at least consider Cruz for the flex spot in their lineup on Sunday.
