Seven carries for 8 yards is not exactly the stat line that any starting NFL running back would like to finish a game with. However, those were the exact totals for Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon during his matchup against the Detroit Lions last Sunday.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 10: Jerick McKinnon struggling to find his groove
Minnesota’s running back has yet to rush for more than 100 yards in 2016. We explore the fantasy implications.

McKinnon has only one touchdown and is averaging just 36 yards per game in 2016. Plus, his average yards per touch this year is barely above 3 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Despite his lack of success so far this season, the Vikings’ running back has an legitimate chance to have a productive day when he and Minnesota face Washington on Sunday.
Washington is giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2016 and has allowed the position group to score three touchdowns during its last two games. But despite letting two backs rush for at least 100 yards in its first four games this year, Washington has buckled down and not allowed an opposing running back to finish a day with over 100 total yards in its last four contests.
Yahoo! projects McKinnon to end his game against Washington on Sunday with 52 total yards on 12 touches. A flex option may be the best bet for the running back’s fantasy owners this week, but leaving him on the bench should not make that much of a difference, either.
