During a conference with the local media on Thursday, Washington head coach Jay Gruden declared rookie Rob Kelley the team’s starting running back this week. Kelley was the starter in the team’s last game against the Cincinnati Bengals and performed well.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 10: Rob Kelley looking to take advantage of his new role
Washington’s rookie running back is expected to get a majority of the team’s carries this weekend. We explore the fantasy implications.

The rookie running back has scored a touchdown in his last two games and he is averaging almost 5 yards per touch so far in 2016.
Fantasy Impact: In what looks to be his second career NFL start, Kelley will have the task of facing a tough Minnesota Vikings defense. However, the Vikings have been struggling recently given that they have lost their last three games.
During those three losses, Minnesota has allowed its opponents to average almost 120 total rushing yards per game. That’s a much different number from the 78 rushing yards per game they allowed in their first five matchups of the season.
Yahoo! does not envision Kelley to have a ton of success on Sunday, projecting the running back to finish with 60 total yards on 14 touches. Any fantasy owners thinking about starting Kelley this week may want to reconsider unless they are feeling lucky.
