In his last two games, Nelson has caught a total of 11 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact: After a week off, Arizona and its wide receiver will be hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Cardinals beat the 49ers during the team’s first meeting this season in Week 5 by a final score of 33-21.
As for Nelson, he gets to match up against a San Francisco defense that is giving up the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers in 2016. The 49ers have allowed the position group to haul in nine touchdown passes during the team’s last four games.
Yahoo! is only projecting Nelson to finish Sunday with three catches for 45 yards. But with his coach’s announcement on Friday and his matchup against an awful pass defense, he might be worth an opportunity to man a flex slot in some fantasy owners’ lineups this week.
