Last spring, Ole Miss named D.J. Jones its most improved defensive player, presumably because of the havoc he’s capable of creating behind the line of scrimmage. You might think that means sacks and tackles for loss.

We’d say that also qualifies, especially because the last thing a quarterback is thinking is “hmm better be careful in case that defensive tackle suddenly turns into a center fielder robbing me of a base hit.” But D.J. Jones knows that the Piesman is all about one thing: defying expectations.
