You can break Piesman Trophy plays into two groups: planned and unplanned. The planned ones are more rare, but we generally know what they look like, with a lineman catching a relatively short pass or getting the ball in I-formation. But this? This is something SPECIAL.
Wanna see an offensive lineman take a handoff and throw an absolute bomb?
Thank you, Monmouth College, for showing us something we didn’t even know was possible.

We understand if you need to watch it again, but, yes, that’s the right guard for Monmouth College, Kolton Koch, taking the handoff and throwing the ball a good 40 yards in the air to a receiver downfield. No, it’s not a touchdown (and we’ll remind you that Piesman plays don’t need to be scores). But it’s still one of the greatest freaking things we’ve ever seen on a football field.
