Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Willie Snead a tricky play vs. Panthers
The Saints’ passing offense has been relying heavily on Willie Snead recently, but does that continue in Week 11?
The New Orleans Saints’ offense has many viable fantasy options, and that includes Willie Snead.
The second-year receiver had a hot start to the season, then was slowed by a toe injury before catching fire over the last four games. During that span, Snead caught 23 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns.
Both scores came in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos’ stout secondary, so one would think he could have a good game vs. the Carolina Panthers’ struggling secondary this Thursday.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Snead as the 29th-best receiver in Week 11. He faces a Carolina defense allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to receivers this season, including the fourth-most over the last five weeks.
This is a tough call, and with New Orleans having so many receiving options, it is hard to warrant starting Snead unless it is as a WR3 or flex play. Still, plan on keeping him in your lineup this week based on his recent performances, and also because he faces a struggling secondary.
