Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Michael Thomas a risky play vs. Panthers
Will Michael Thomas rebound from his disastrous game vs. Denver?
Despite being a rookie, Michael Thomas has been a star for the New Orleans Saints.
In nine games, Thomas has caught 51 passes for 613 yards and five touchdowns. That includes 306 yards and two scores on 25 catches over his last four games. Unfortunately, that also includes two lost fumbles in a narrow Week 10 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Those effectively cost New Orleans a win, and now the Saints will look to rebound against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football this week.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Thomas as the 14th-best receiver in Week 11. He faces a Panthers’ defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers over the last five weeks.
This is a close call — with New Orleans having so many good receiving options, and after Thomas fumbled twice last week, one would think head coach Sean Payton will limit the rookie’s snaps, just as he did with Mark Ingram recently.
Keep Thomas on the bench this week.
