In just his second NFL season, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota is proving to the rest of the league why the Titans selected him with the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. During his last six games, he has thrown for 17 touchdowns, ran for two more, and only thrown three interceptions.

The Titans quarterback has been playing very well in his last few matchups. We explore the fantasy implications.


Mariota is coming off a performance against the Green Bay Packers that led to him being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. In Tennessee’s 47-25 win over the Packers last Sunday, the Titans’ quarterback threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact: Mariota has a good chance to continue his high level of play this week against a struggling Indianapolis Colts defense.
The Colts are giving up the fourth most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks in 2016. During their last six games, the Indianapolis defense has only two interceptions while allowing the opposing signal callers to throw for multiple touchdowns in every matchup.
Yahoo! projects Mariota to finish Sunday with 246 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. But based on his recent play and his opponent this weekend, fantasy owners really cannot go wrong by starting the quarterback in their lineups.
