Four games into the 2016 NFL season, Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell seemed like he was on his way to a career year. However, his performance over the last six weeks has been nothing to brag about.

Cleveland’s running back gets a favorable matchup against the Steelers on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.


During his first four games this year, Crowell accounted for 447 total yards (112 yards per game) and three touchdowns. But in the six weeks after, he has only managed to rack up 338 total yards (56 yards per game) and two touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact: Crowell has an opportunity to get back to playing the way he was earlier in the season when he and the Browns take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend.
The Steelers have had trouble against the run this season, giving up the third most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. In its last four games, Pittsburgh has allowed three backs to rush for at least 110 yards and the position group has accounted for a total of nine touchdowns.
Yahoo! is projecting Crowell to end up with 80 total yards and one touchdown on 17 touches Sunday. Fantasy owners should at least consider the Cleveland running back as a flex option this week.
