After signing Clay to a big five-year, $38 million contract last year, the Bills have not been getting the production out of their tight end they were likely hoping for. This season, Clay has only 29 catches and his 31.4 receiving yards per game is the lowest it has been in the last four years.
Fantasy Impact: Buffalo’s tight end has a great opportunity to shine this weekend when the he and the Bills take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
In 2016, the Bengals are giving up the third most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. During their last four games, the position group has caught 40 passes for 539 yards and three touchdowns.
Yahoo!’s projection only has Clay finishing with four catches for 40 yards. But for fantasy owners looking to take a chance on a tight end this week, Clay might be their guy.
