It’s been quite the week for running back Christine Michael. First, he was waived by the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday and by Wednesday he already had a new team after the Green Bay Packers decided to claim the young running back.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Christine Michael hoping for a fresh start with his new team
Green Bay’s newest running back could play on Sunday versus Washington. We explore the fantasy implications.

After the first few games of the 2016 NFL season, it seemed as though Michael was going to have a fairly productive year. During the Seahawks’ first five games, the running back averaged 88 total yards, one touchdown, and 19 touches per game.
But in the last four weeks, Michael saw those averages fall to 31 total yards, 0.5 touchdowns, and 10 touches per game. So when Seattle needed to make room on the depth chart for the returning Thomas Rawls, it was not much of a surprise that the team decided to part ways with Michael.
Fantasy Impact: Even if he makes his Packers debut on Sunday against Washington, Michael is not expected to have a ton of opportunities on the field. However, it is possible that after another week or two of the running back learning the team’s offense that he could eventually become a valuable asset for Green Bay as the season progresses.
But for now, fantasy owners should stay away from the thoughts of starting Michael in their lineups this week.
