On Friday, it was revealed that the New England Patriots would be without the services of tight end Rob Gronkowski this weekend when the team takes on the San Francisco 49ers. Luckily for the Patriots (like they need any), they have a more than capable backup in Martellus Bennett.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Martellus Bennett could be in for a big day
The Patriots’ tight end will likely see more passes thrown his way Sunday due to the absence of Rob Gronkowski. We explore the fantasy implications.

Bennett’s play has dipped a bit since earlier in the season (four touchdowns in his first five games, zero in his last four games), but there is no reason to think that he cannot have an impressive day on Sunday with Tom Brady as the guy throwing him the ball.
Fantasy Impact: This week, Bennett and New England will be facing off against a pretty average 49ers defense. San Francisco allowed two tight ends to gain over 100 receiving yards in the team’s first three games, but they have not allowed the position group to do so again in their last six matchups.
Yahoo! projects Bennett to end Sunday with five catches for 55 yards and one touchdown. He should be starting for most fantasy owners this week since he has as good a chance to succeed on Sunday as any other tight end around the league.
