The last time anyone saw New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis on an NFL field was back in Week 9 of the 2015 season when the Patriots defeated Washington 27-10. Lewis finished the game with 53 total yards on eight touches, but his stats were not the story of the day.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Do not fall victim to any Dion Lewis hype just yet
New England’s running back could make his 2016 season debut on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

The young running back unfortunately had his season cut short after he suffered a torn ACL during the team’s game against Washington. After needing another surgery on his knee in August, Lewis may finally be ready to make his 2016 debut this Sunday when the Patriots take on the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Impact: Despite the possibility of the running back being on the field this weekend, fantasy owners should still remain very cautious with Lewis until he starts playing at a consistent level once again.
One upside for those crazy fantasy owners who are considering starting the running back this week is that New England will be facing a 49ers defense that is giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing backs in 2016. San Francisco has allowed a player from the position group to gain at least 100 total yards in their last eight games.
However, the uncertainty around how the Patriots will use Lewis on Sunday if he is indeed active is still enough for fantasy owners to keep the running back benched for at least one more week.
