Washington’s rookie running back has a tough matchup against the Cowboys this week. We explore the fantasy implications.

Not to take anything away from the year Elliott has had in his first season with the Dallas Cowboys, but his counterpart on Thursday may actually be more impressive in 2016. Washington rookie running back Rob Kelley was not even drafted this year, and yet he is averaging over 100 rushing yards in his last three games.
Fantasy Impact: Despite his recent unexpected success, Kelley may have a hard time producing at a high level against the Cowboys’ defense on Thursday.
Dallas is giving up the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in 2016. The Cowboys have yet to allow any player from the position group finish a week with 100 or more rushing yards this season.
Yahoo! is projecting Kelley to end the day against Dallas with 77 total yards and one touchdown on 17 touches. Despite his matchup, the Washington running back should still at least garner some consideration as a flex option from most fantasy owners.
