It may be too little too late for fantasy owners, but if he can begin to consistently find the end zone each game, the tight end would be one of the best options available at his position.
Fantasy Impact: The Lions will be facing a tough defense on Thursday in the Minnesota Vikings, but the Vikings’ defense has shown a bit of a weakness when it comes to covering tight ends this season. During Ebron’s first game against Minnesota this year, the tight end finished with seven catches for 92 yards on eight targets.
In 2016, the Vikings defense is allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to the position group. Minnesota has given up two touchdowns to opposing tight ends in the last two weeks after giving up zero in their first eight games of the season.
Yahoo! does not think Ebron will perform too well against the Vikings on Thursday, projecting him to finish with just four catches for 48 yards. However, Minnesota’s recent struggles against the position group could make him an option for those fantasy owners in search of some tight end help this week.
