Last week against the Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was held to under 200 passing yards for the first time in the 2016 NFL season. Palmer finished the game with just 198 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Carson Palmer should get back on track this weekend
Arizona’s quarterback will face an unimpressive Falcons defense on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

His performance came as a bit of a surprise, since in his three previous games he did not throw for less than 340 yards. However, more credit may just have to be given to the Vikings defense, which currently has the league’s fourth-ranked passing defense.
Fantasy impact: Palmer has a great opportunity to get back on track this week when he faces the Atlanta Falcons and this season’s worst pass defense in the NFL.
The Falcons are also giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks in 2016. Atlanta has allowed a total of nine passing touchdowns to the position group in its last four games.
Palmer has yet to get a win on the road this season, but he has a more than decent chance to do so on Sunday against the Falcons. For fantasy owners looking to start a quarterback with a good matchup this week, Palmer seems like a good option.
