It remains a mystery as to who the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ top running back will be in Week 9.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Peyton Barber a risky play vs. Falcons
Peyton Barber will be an intriguing name to watch in Week 9, but it’s too early to risk starting him on your fantasy team.

Injuries to Doug Martin (hamstring) and Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) have left Tampa Bay with journeyman Antone Smith, undrafted rookie Peyton Barber, and practice squad call-up Mike James as their only running backs vs. the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football.
If previous trends this season are any indicator, perhaps Barber is the one in line for a big workload. After all, he does have the most touches of those three names, though most of Barber’s carries came in a Week 7 blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers.
That game saw Barber record 84 yards and one score on 12 carries. However, Barber has just four carries for 7 yards in every other game this season, so he is still a big unknown at this point.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Barber as the 34th-best running back for Week 9. He faces a Falcons defense allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to running backs this season.
Barber will be an intriguing name to watch this week, but he is too risky of a chance to take as far as starting on your fantasy team. He could get 20 touches and have a big night, or he could get three carries and do nothing.
Keep Barber on the bench this week if you have him.
