Having caught three touchdowns in his first four games this season, Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph seemed like he was on his way to a career year. But after three straight games with no trips to the end zone, fantasy owners are left wondering what has happened.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Kyle Rudolph looking to bounce back on Sunday
Minnesota’s tight end gets a really favorable matchup against the Lions this weekend. We explore the fantasy implications.

It is not like his targets have seen a recent decrease (21 in his last three games), but Rudolph has faced three defenses (Texans, Eagles, Bears) in the Vikings last three matchups that are some of the league’s best in 2016 when it comes to covering tight ends.
Fantasy Impact: Minnesota should expect to see a much better performance out of their tight end when the team takes on the Detroit Lions Sunday.
The Lions are giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends this year. The position group is catching over 75 percent of their targets and averaging a touchdown per game in 2016 against Detroit’s defense.
Yahoo! also agrees that Rudolph will have a good day this weekend vs. the Lions as they see him finishing with four catches for 48 yards and one touchdown. Fantasy owners should have a pretty good excuse if they opt to not start the Vikings’ tight end in their lineups this week.
